UNGC report

UNGC report

LALIVE is a proud member of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, since 2021. As a participant, we undertake to make the UNGC and its Ten Principles part of the strategy, culture and day-to-day operations of the firm.

These principles relate to human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.

In tandem, we also work to advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially around:

  • Ending poverty (SDG 1)
  • Good health and wellbeing (SDG 3)
  • Quality education and learning (SDG 4)
  • Gender quality (SDG 5)
  • Sustainable and modern energy (SDG 7)
  • Responsible economic growth and decent work (SDG 8)
  • Reducing country inequalities (SDG 10)
  • Responsible consumption (SDG 12)
  • Climate action (SDG 13)
  • Promoting peace, justice, inclusion and accountability of institutions (SDG 16)

Communication on Progress (CoP)

We report on our efforts to implement the Ten Principles and the SDGs in our annual UNGC CoP. A copy of our latest UNGC report can be found here.

Target Gender Equality

LALIVE participated in the UNGC’s gender equality accelerator programme in 2022, which helps us to set and achieve ambitious targets for increasing female leadership and maintaining equal pay. See more at https://unglobalcompact.org/take-action/target-gender-equality

Business and human rights

LALIVE co-founded the Business and Human Rights Lawyers Association (BHRLA) in 2022, with 21 other leading global firms. BHRL is a ‘global platform that inspires and advances business and human rights leadership, learning, collaboration and practices among commercial law firms and business lawyers around the world’.
